Dr. Hart was a firefighter/paramedic for eight years before he started medical school. After serving as an emergency room physician, he completed a fellowship in cardiology and currently practices in Portland, Ore.
His equestrian adventures began as an eventing dad over 30 years ago with his oldest daughter. He was fortunate to co-own Poggio II with his daughter’s trainer, Amy Tryon, and followed them to two Olympics and two World Equestrian Games, where they earned an incredible three medals. He has served on various local and national equestrian committees, including the USEA Board of Governors and as the USEF High Performance Team Physician since 2012. He currently serves as an FEI board member and chair of the FEI Medical Committee since 2020.
