DALLAS BOLEN

I have been a ‘horse girl’ for 35 years, spending the majority of my horse career in the Morgan show ring. After earning many accolades in the saddle seat equitation as a youth grew, I started showing my first homebred horse in the hunter pleasure division in the early 2000s. Since then, I’ve made the shift to also compete in carriage pleasure driving and combined driving in 2011 and have enjoyed the challenge of competing in two parallel show worlds! Since then, I’ve trained the Morgan World Champion Carriage Driving or Reserve World Champion six out of the last 10 years. Also, I have many National and World titles in ridden and driven dressage, Morgan sport horse, and obstacle driving.

In addition to serving on the USEF Morgan Horse and Carriage Pleasure Driving Committees, I am currently on the board of directors of the American Morgan Horse Association. I am a carded ‘r’ Morgan, saddle seat equitation, Hackney, Saddlebred, and roadster judge, and hope to have my carriage pleasure driving ‘R’ designation soon. My husband and I have a construction company in Hermiston, Oregon, and I work part time in crop insurance and train a limited number of horses at my stable, Sunchaser Morgans in Hermiston, Oregon.
