As a young groom in Coopersburg, Penn., Dwayne would ride a grade horse to a barn job where he mucked stalls and fed horses. While attending college, he spent his Louisiana summers at Saralin Morgan Farm working for Mike Goebig before going out on his own as a trainer working for Nona O’Brien at Limerick Morgans in Virginia. Now, Mike and Dwayne own Broadmoor Morgans in Kutztown, Penn., where they offer training, showing, and breeding services, in addition to opening the barn to 4-H and youth groups to help them learn more about the Morgan breed. Broadmoor horses have won numerous World and National Championships through the years. Dwayne is also an accomplished USEF Large “R” Judge, and is licensed to judge Morgans, Saddlebreds, and Saddle Seat Equitation. He has judged many shows throughout the United States, and in 2006, judged the European National Horse Show in England.
