Marynell has owned and operated Ridgetop Connemaras in Middlebrook, Va., for more than 40 years, alongside her husband. The breeding program is devoted to producing purebred and halfbred Connemaras. Through the years, the farm has stood five Connemara stallions, including three premium sires – Aladdin’s Denver, Landgate Bluebeard, and Kilfenora Windy Isles. They have also produced champions in regional and recognized Connemara shows and divisions across the country, and two Ridgetop Connemara halfbred geldings have been recepients of the USEF McKenna Award. In addition to breeding, Marynell has served on the American Connemara Pony Society (ACPS) Board of Governors, been the Registrar for the breed for more than 25 years, and published the American Connemara Magazine for 17 years. She recently retired her USEF license as a Connemara “R” judge, but continues to serve on the USEF Connemara Committee and organize and manage the ACPS Region III Connemara Show at the Virginia Horse Center.
