FRANCES NEWSOM

Francie and her husband currently reside in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. She enjoys providing folks with resources for success in Western Dressage competitions. Having been the owner, manager, and head trainer of a Texas stable for 35 years, her professional career as an equestrian is extensive. She is a Lifetime Founding Pioneer Member of the Western Dressage Association of America (WDAA), coauthored the 2014 WDAA Attire and Equipment Guide, and presented for the WDAA Equipment Steward Training video. She has also volunteered as a 4-H horse show judge, been a guest speaker at club meetings and horse training presentations, and served as a horse training clinician numerous times, but most notably at USEF Steward License Maintenance Program Clinics. Francie served as a USEF C2 Steward from 2009 to 2021 and participated in multiple USEF and WDAA committees as president, vice president, board member, and committee member.
