CHARLOTTE SKINNER-ROBSON

Charlotte Robson has been professionally involved in the Hunter/Jumper discipline of equestrian sport since 1976. She began her professional career at 18, competing nationally and internationally for 14 years. From 1980 to 1988, she operated a 60-stall training facility in Mexico City as both rider and trainer.

 

Her extensive background spans multiple areas of the horse show industry, with current emphasis on consulting, show management, judging, and announcing. Charlotte is a licensed FEI Level 3 Jumper Judge and Level 2 Steward, as well as a USEF ‘R’ Jumper Judge and certified schooling supervisor. She regularly officiates at approximately 20 major equestrian events annually and manages multiple competitions.

 

Charlotte has held senior management roles at high-profile events, including the 1992 World Cup Finals, multiple FEI North American Young Rider Championships (1998, 2000, 2008), and the Colorado Spring, Summer, and Fall Series (1995–2025). She currently manages and consults for LEG Shows & Events Colorado Horse Show Division managing USEF Premier and National rated shows at the Colorado Horse Park.

 

Her contributions to sport governance include serving on various USEF and USHJA committees. She is the Jumper Vice-President of the USHJA Board of Directors and chairs the USHJA Jumper Working Group. Her committee work includes the USEF Awards Committee (Chair), Jumping Sport Committee, International Disciplines Council. For the USHJA she chairs the Jumper Working Group and is a member of the Executive Committee, Emerging Jumper Athlete, Young Jumper, Audit, Finance, Rules and Nominating committees. Charlotte also serves as a lead clinician for the USHJA/USEF Jumper Judging Clinics and has been a recurring guest lecturer at the Savannah College of Art and Design’s Equestrian Studies program.
