Originally from N.M, Jim has built a career as a trainer, breeder, exhibitor, and judge within the Arabian horse community over the past 50 years. He has developed and presented national champions across the Western Pleasure, Country English Pleasure, Show Hack, Hunter Pleasure, Halter, and Working Hunter disciplines. His program has achieved international success, producing national winners in Spain and international champions at the European World Cup. Jim has also judged many of the industry’s most prestigious events, including the U.S. Arabian Nationals and major competitions in Spain and Australia, and had the honor of judging the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, the Australian Arabian National Championships, and the U.S. Arabian Nationals in 2025. Now retired from professional training, he currently serves as the Region Eight Director of the Arabian Horse Association and Chair of the Arabian Sport Horse National Show Commission, where he plays an active role in strategic planning, policy development, and the continued growth of national-level competition. He is also Manager of the Western Dressage Association of America's World Championship Show and serves on the USEF Western Dressage Committee, contributing to the development and governance of the discipline.
