Ida Norris is a USEF “R” western dressage judge and USEF “S” dressage judge. She is a gold medal rider at Level 5 in western dressage, and USDF gold, silver, and bronze medalist on horses she trained. Ida is currently on the USEF Western Dressage Committee and is Chair of the International Alliance Judges/Members Education Subcommittee. She is a board member of the Western Dressage Association of Michigan.

Ida competes in both traditional and western dressage, holding many honors in western dressage Level 5. She was a 2022 WDAA World Championship Show judge and a 2021 WDAA Online International Challenge judge. Her mare Lilith T. L. is the 2023 WDAA Online International Challenge Level 5 Champion, and with that mare, she is the 2025, 2024, 2023 World Champion in International Equagility. 

Ida is an enthusiastic clinician/speaker, specializing in virtual coaching and has a popular western dressage online academy. Ida is the online educator and creator of one of the first YouTube channels offering free western dressage education, with 400+ videos on Ida Norris Western Dressage YouTube. 

Ida is also skilled at classical long lining, working equitation, and general horsemanship as well as dressage through Grand Prix level. Ida enjoys teaching clinics and judging throughout the United States and abroad. She lives and teaches at her picturesque Mill Pond Farm in Benson, Vermont. Ida is a member of several WDAA affiliates, including the Western Dressage Association of Michigan and the Western Dressage Association of Massachusetts.
