WILLIAM VENDITTA

Originally from Downington, Pa., Bill developed a fondness for horses on his grandfather's dairy farm. As an academic, he earned his Bachelor's from St. Bernard College in 1971, his Master's in Religious Studies from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, and also studied Trombone Performance at West Chester University School of Music. Throughout his equine career, he has officiated as Ringmaster at many premier horse shows domestically and abroad. At home, these shows include the Washington International Horse Show, the National Horse Show, the Devon Horse Show, and the World Championship Show; internationally, these shows include the Pavarotti International Horse Show in Italy and the Royal Windsor Horse Show in England. In 1996, he was the Official Ringmaster of the Centennial Olympic Games in Georgia and can also be seen as the Ringmaster in the Warner Bros. major motion picture, “Something To Talk About” starring Julia Roberts. Now residing in Cochranville, Pa., Bill and his wife live on their own Coach Horn Farm, caring for their seven imported Dutch Gelderlanders. Together, they have shown these horses as singles, pairs, unicorns, and fours, competing successfully in the Coaching Divisions at the Devon Horse Show and the invitation-only Royal Winter Fair in Canada. Bill is also a US Equestrian Registered Carriage Pleasure Driving Judge and, having been a member of the American Driving Society since 1987, holds registered judge's cards in Pleasure Driving and Coaching. As Vice President of the Carriage Association of America (and serving on the Board), he has attained his Level III (Master Driver) in the Driver Proficiency Program. He is also Chairman of the Professional Horseman's Association Brandywine Chapter, a member of the Brandywine Valley Driving Club, the Delmarva Driving Club, and the Four-In-Hand Club.
