Join us at Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, Calif., Feb. 11

by US Equestrian Communications Dept. | Feb 5, 2026, 10:25 AM

After receiving positive feedback from members about our 2025 horse welfare town hall series, US Equestrian will be continuing in-person and virtual listening sessions in 2026 focusing on horse and member welfare. The first session of the year will be held at Desert Circuit at Desert International Horse Park in Thermal, Calif., next Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in the Palms Club. US Equestrian CEO Bill Moroney and COO/General Counsel Sonja Keating will be on hand to provide updates on several policy updates and challenges ahead. Trainer and licensed official Archie Cox will also join the panel to ask Bill and Sonja about the issues that matter most to members like him.

These include:
-Policies around suspended persons
-New disclosures coming to resolved Hearing Committee cases
-Discussion about calendaring
-Drug penalty guideline updates recently approved by the Board

...and much more.

You can RSVP to this event and keep the details handy using this link. Let us know if you're coming and post in the Discussion session to tell us know what other issues you want to discuss!

While we hope to be able to livestream many of our 2026 town halls, we will not be able to begin that with this event. We do look forward to welcoming a virtual and in-person audience in future.
