As we all look forward to spring, we know many members are creating their competition calendars for the upcoming season. For those who have battled cold and snow this winter, the prospect of entering the first shows of the year sounds refreshing.
And yet, we’ve had many members tell us they wish the horse show entry process could be easier. Some show offices are still working off paper entries, while others are frustrated with the amount of manual checking they need to do between their entry system and US Equestrian’s databases. That’s why we’re so excited about a new software product we’ve been working on.
This season marks the soft launch of EZ Entry, which is designed to address those challenges. The software is fully integrated with USEF’s database which allows it to instantly perform eligibility checks and membership status verification. Competitors will also be able to upload their horse’s health documentation in one place and use it across shows. Its integration also makes it easy to transmit results to USEF and post them for competitors in real-time.
Best of all? This software will be free for use at USEF licensed competitions.

In 2026, USEF is offering EZ Entry to a small number of pilot users, and we’re looking for more.
“We’ve fully tested EZ Entry internally, but nothing can replace the experience of using a system like this out in the field,” said Andi Davis, US Equestrian Director of Software Development. “Getting feedback from potential pilot users has already begun to provide valuable feedback as we iterate on features.”
“Because we oversee 29 breeds and disciplines, everyone has different needs from their entry software, so we developed EZ Entry with flexibility and scalability in mind.”
If you manage a competition that currently uses paper entries or which doesn’t have an existing software contract, you may be a good fit for the 2026 pilot program. Please contact Chelsea Macaluso at [email protected] to find out if you qualify.

USEF’s IT team also plans to have a webinar for competition organizers and members who want to learn more about the system and see a test drive later this summer. A full launch of EZ Entry is planned for the 2027 competition year, subject to the results of this year’s pilot program.
