Lacey Gilbertson started off horse showing at age 15. Since her FEI career started in 2015, Gilbertson has competed in more than 800 different classes around the world. . Her career has taken her across North America, riding in competitions in various locations throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

She made her team debut in 2023 where the U.S. Jumping Team secured third place at the FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Canada CSIO5* in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. In 2024, she most notably won the $120,000 Turtle Creek Casino and Hotel Grand Prix CSI3* in Traverse City, the $100,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix CSI3*, and $32,000 1.45m Speed CSI3* at Split Rock Fall. She closed out the year taking home third at the Holiday & Horses Grand Prix CSI4* at WEF.

Starting off the 2025 season, she has seen competitive results on her partners LouLou MPSZ and Holliewood, both of which she has added to her string in recent years. Gilbertson and Holliewood had an impressive second place finish in the Grand Prix CSI3* at WEF this spring and continue to prove themselves as competitive pair.
