Dondante has been competed throughout his entire FEI career by U.S. eventing athlete Will Coleman. He had his first completion at the CCI5* level in 2021 at the inaugural Maryland 5 Star. In 2022, they won the CCI4*-S at Carolina International and the Advanced division at The Fork, then went on to complete the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5* with no jumping penalties to finish in 7th place.
