Updated: US Equestrian Announces Teams for 2019 SVAG FEI Reining World Championships for Young Riders & Juniors

Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian has named the following combinations to the U.S. teams for the 2019 SVAG FEI Reining World Championships for Young Riders & Juniors, July 9-13 in Givrins, Switzerland. Jeff Petska will serve as the chef d’equipe.

 

U.S. Junior Reining Team

Sarah Armenta (Whitesboro, Texas) and Gun Smoke Dennis, Julia Kraetschmar’s 14-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Mattie Gustin (Weatherford, Texas) and Guns R Spooky, her nine-year-old Quarter Horse gelding

Emma Lane (Gates, N.C.) and Gunner Gump, Bundy Lane’s 11-year-old Quarter Horse gelding

Raeanna Thayn (Tioga, Texas) and Coded N Karma, Robbin and Robert Thayn’s eight-year-old Quarter Horse gelding

 

U.S. Young Rider Reining Team

 

Dani Latimer (Marietta, Okla.) and Crime Wave, Letizia Tosetti’s 10-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Cade McCutcheon (Aubrey, Texas) and Smart Little Dunnit, Turnabout Farm, Inc.’s seven-year-old Quarter Horse stallion

Taylor Zimmerman (Springfield, Mo.) and Wimpys Dolled Up, Vaughn Zimmerman’s eight-year-old Quarter Horse mare

 

*Sam Flarida and Footwork Revolution have withdrawn from the competition.

Charles Owen, the USEF’s Official Helmet Supplier and Safety Partner, has provided Ayrbrush helmets for the Junior Team members. The U.S. Junior and Young Rider Teams also will compete in shirts from Ariat, the USEF’s Official Footwear and Apparel Partner.

 

Competition Information

The 2019 SVAG FEI Reining World Championships for Young Riders & Juniors will run concurrently with the SVAG FEI Reining European Championships for Senior Riders. The U.S. teams will compete in the team competition on Friday, July 12, performing pattern 5. The competitors will move on to the individual competition on Saturday, July 13, performing pattern 9.
