USEF Rule Book USB Drive Instructions for MAC Users

  1. Insert USB drive into an available USB port on your Mac.
  2. Open the rule book directly by clicking the Finder icon on the dock menu or by doubleclicking the USB drive icon on the desktop. Open the USB drive contents and doubleclick the file 'rulebook.htm'.
  3. Once the rule book is open, you may navigate to different sections and chapters using the links provided.

Other Information

  • To manually update the rule book, you can download the flashimage.tgz (Stuff It Version) from our website (www.usef.org/documents/rulebook/flashimage.tgz). Extract the files and copy them into the USB drive. When prompted concerning overwriting existing files, select "Yes to All".
  • During the months of October and November, there will be two versions of the rule book stored on your USB drive, the current competition year and the upcoming competition year. If you would like to view the upcoming year’s rule book during these months, open the USB drive contents, double-click the rulebook folder, and double-click the file 'rulebookNext.htm'.
