Lexington, KY - And the winner is...up to you. Voting is underway for the coveted 2010 USEF Equestrian of the Year, which, following decades of tradition comes at the end of the 2010 competition year and is announced when the horse world meets at the United States Equestrian Federation's annual Pegasus Awards celebration in January.
Known as the USEF Equestrians of Honor, eight stars of equestrian sport -across breed and discipline - each recently received a unique competitive trophy. These honors will be presented during the celebrated Pegasus Awards on January 22 at the Downtown Hyatt Regency in Lexington.

Lexington, KY - To reach the highest level of excellence in equestrian sport takes talent, perseverance, a tremendous spirit and often, unwavering courage. In 2010, five horses have shown the world those qualities and more. And on January 22, the United States Equestrian Federation will bestow just one of them with the prestigious title of Horse of the Year, the highest honor the USEF awards a horse.
The five champions have earned their place on the elite list as USEF Horses of Honor, and each will be recognized at the USEF Horse of the Year Awards gala and dinner in January - part of the USEF Annual Meeting - at the Downtown Hyatt Regency in Lexington, KY. It now is up to you to choose that one special horse, selecting from a range of talents and from across the Federation's breeds and disciplines.

2010 Favorite USEF Breed Competition Winners Announced | |
Lexington, KY - Two first-place ties in this year's "Favorite USEF Breeds Competition" attests to the competitive nature of equestrian sport - and the success of the second running of the United States Equestrian Federation's one-of-a-kind contest. In 2009, USEF announced the new contest designed to let members vote for their favorite breed competition while awarding and promoting USEF licensed breed competitions that ran a show so well that exhibitors wanted to call it their favorite. The contest also gives exhibitors the opportunity to provide detailed feedback about the competitions to USEF.

| This Week in International Disciplines
Dressage
Olympia, the London International Horse Show featured a week of world-class competition including a Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Qualifier. Catherine Haddad and Winyamaro performed beautifully in the Grand Prix to place fourth with a score of 69.191%. In the Grand Prix Freestyle the pair produced a strong and elegant test to score a 74.800%, placing them fourth. With the points earned from the freestyle, Haddad became the first American to top the FEI World Cup Rankings in the Western European League.
