Lexington, KY - The Open Jumper action at the Alltech National Horse Show, 128th Edition, wrapped up tonight with a fast-paced jump-off during the Alltech National Horse Show $250,000 Grand Prix CSI-W. Richard Spooner and Cristallo set the pace with tidy inside turns and a clear effort, beating Great Britain's Nick Skelton aboard Carlo 273 by just three-tenths of a second. Jessica Springsteen and Cincinatti Le Silla rounded out the three as the fastest four-fault combination during the short course.

Lexington, KY - Scott Monroe (Sharon, 

CT) and his black Morgan gelding Bethesda After Dark ("Shadow") held onto their marathon lead and after Sunday's cone phase won the USEF National Single Horse Championship at Katydid, with a score of 132.39.


Kim Stover and Laughlin - fifth after the marathon - surged ahead and took second on a score of 141.25.

Shelburne, VT -The 2011 American Morgan Horse Association (AMHA) Youth of the Year Contest took place at this year's Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show™, held October 8-15 at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. The AMHA honored Kate Foy of Kingston, NH, and Louisville, KY, as its 2011 Youth of the Year winner, and Irina Shavlik of White Bear Lake, MN, as the reserve champion.


Galway Downs WIR 4-4-11Temecula, CA - Although the rains returned at the Galway Downs International Three-Day Event today, they couldn't stop the juggernaut that was British rider James Alliston. He started the day by winning the CCI1* aboard Mojo, then he placed second in the CCI2* with Tivoli. And then he finished his day with a victory in the CCI3*, the last event on the PRO Tour Series, aboard India McEvoy's Jumbo's Jake, and also placed seventh with his own Parker II.



USEF LogoLexington, KY - Beginning in December, the United States Equestrian Federaiton (USEF) and USET Foundation will host six Elite Dressage Pre-Olympic Games training sessions/clinics. Riders will have the unique opportunity to work with both USEF Technical Advisor Anne Gribbons and U.S. Olympic, World Equestrian Games and Pan American Games medalist Steffen Peters. These clinics will focus on preparing potential team riders for the 2012 Olympic Games Selection Trials and Olympic Games.

Saddle Seat USA logoLexington, KY - Applications are now being accepted for consideration to participate in the 2012 U.S. Saddle Seat Equitation Team Selection Trials.

The Trials will be held at William Woods University in Fulton, MO, on March 31, 2012. A riders' meeting/draw will be held the evening of Friday, March 30, 2012, and the Selection Trials will take place on Saturday, March 31, with team member announcements that evening. The shortened schedule allows athletes to travel earlier on Sunday.
