Saugerties, NY - All bets were off as judges cards were wiped clean from the first two rounds of the Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Final and the top 25 riders advanced to the final two rounds in the Strongid C 2X Grand Prix Stadium at HITS-on-the-Hudson. With an impressive fourth-round score of 92.33 and a total score of 178.08, junior Samantha Schaefer of Westminster, MD, piloted Lyn Pedersen's Mahalo to victory.

Saddlebred World Loses Longtime Saddlebred Judge, Steward, Owner, and Exhibitor, Cornelia Atherton Serpell

WIR 12-23 ASHA logoLexington, KY - Cornelia Atherton Serpell was born March 7, 1917, to Cornelia A. Atherton and Peter Lee Atherton in Glenview, KY, and passed away on September 10, 2011. In addition to having owned several quality show horses, Serpell served as the American Horse Shows Association Steward at the Kentucky State Fair World's Championship Horse Show for many years, and had also served as a judge at the show. In 2003, she was inducted into the World's Championship Horse Show Hall of Fame.

Six USEF National Dressage Champions were crowned at the 2011 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions at the USET Headquarters in Gladstone, NJ.

Steffen Peters swept both the Intermediaire I (meaning he will lead the U.S. Dressage Team to the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara) and the Grand Prix with his international superstar Ravel.
