Altenfelden, Austria

Chester Weber, the USA's top four-in-hand driver, won the combined driving competition at CAI Altenfelden with 155.84 points - a victory that comes off the heels of another four-in-hand win in Vecsés, Hungary.

Of his second consecutive European win he said, "My team was good in all three phases. One of our goals is to try to get qualified for the indoor World Cup. We are second in the indoor rankings after competing in just two qualifying competitions."

"It helps my focus to be over here," he added. "I think we Americans forget how much of an advantage we have coming over here, how little distraction we have. Here, I can focus. At home, I have a lot of distractions."

Weber said the help and support of Jane Clark has been invaluable. "I drove her horses [Uniek and Splash] in all three phases this weekend," he said. "They are young and fit and I need to get to know them. That relationship seems to be working well."
