Team and Individual Bronze for Pony Team USA at the FEI Pony World Driving Championships

The U.S. Pony Drivers defended their third-place marathon finish - driving a confident cones phase to secure a Team Bronze medal at the 2011 FEI Pony World Driving Championships in Lipica, Slovenia. Their three-phase total of 402.3 guaranteed Bronze behind driving powerhouse nations, Germany, who won on 359.4, and The Netherlands on 375.4. Additionally, Suzy Stafford - driving as an Individual for Team USA - drove an impeccable cones phase to move from fourth to third and secured her second consecutive Individual Bronze medal.

Lexington, KY - On Saturday afternoon at the L.A. International Jumping Festival (Sep 21-25), a crowd gathered on LAEC's grass Cricket Field to watch the Show Jumping phase of the demanding and prestigious Platinum Performance/USEF Show Jumping Talent Search Finals West. When all was said and done, Demi Stiegler (Robin Stiegler and Archie Cox, trainers) led the victory gallop as champion of the 41-entry field.

USA Equestrian Trust and UPHA Provide Support for 2012 U.S. Saddle Seat Equitation Team

- Last March, the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) announced it will assume responsibility for fielding and supporting future U.S. Saddle Seat Equitation Teams who will represent the United States at the Saddle Seat Equitation World Cup. In July, USEF hosted a luncheon during the Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show to celebrate the efforts of the 2010 U.S. World Cup Team and to begin fundraising efforts to support the Team who will travel to Parys, South Africa, in December of 2012.

Springfield, IL - The National Show Horse Registry is celebrating its 30th year in 2011. Founded in 1981, the National Show Horse originated as a cross between the Arabian horse and the American Saddlebred. It is now established as a separate breed, and NSH horses are noted for combining the beauty and refinement of the Arabian with the animation of the Saddlebred. The Kessler family's successful European tour continued in Italy at CSI3* La Bagnaia. Young Rider Reed Kessler jumped to the win in two classes - she won a new car for her win on Onisha for their victory in the 1.35m Fiat 500 Tour. She also galloped to the top spot in the Memorial Guido Dominici Derby riding Flight. She then picked up two top 10 finishes in the World Ranking Classes on Mika. Reed's mother, Teri, won two 1.20m classes on Ice dŽAncoeur to round out the family affair.

- With entries now closed and less than a month to go before the start of competition, excitement is building for the 44th Annual California Dressage Society Championship Show presented by, which will be held October 6-9, 2011, at the Murieta Equestrian Center in Rancho Murieta, CA. With more than $29,000 in prize money and awards, this show will also feature the popular CDS Young Horse Futurity (including the Cal-Bred Futurity), the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Championships, and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championships West Coast Series Final.

Beginning October 1, 2011, and effective through December 31, 2012, it will be mandatory for CDIs with a big tour to use the Olympic Grand Prix Special Test (edition 2011). This will also apply to National USEF and USDF competitions. To find the test, please visit the FEI website.
