What is it?
The Card Code is also known as the Cardholder Verification Value or CVV. The
purpose of this number is to help ensure that the physical card is in the possession
of the cardholder while shopping online. This extra step helps prevent unauthorized
or fraudulent use of the credit card.
Where Can I find it?
This code is located on the back of your card, near the signature. The signature
panel will generally have a series of numbers, but only the last three digits make
up the CVV code on Visa and Mastercard credit cards.
