Gladstone, NJ - The schedule of events is now available for the Fifth Annual George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session, January 4-8, 2011, in Wellington, FL. Auditing of mounted and educational sessions is open to the public and free of charge; however, a donation to the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation is appreciated.

Meagan Davis Awarded Grant from The Dressage Foundation

Lincoln, NE - The Dressage Foundation has awarded Meagan Davis of Stone Ridge, NY,  $4,500 to further her dressage education overseas. Meagan and her horse, Bentley, currently are competing in Germany at the FEI Young Rider Dressage World Cup. Following the competition, Meagan will use the grant to train with Hubertus Schmidt for four to six weeks.

"Dressage training and riding is my passion and will be my career," Meagan said. "This is an incredible training opportunity that will further my education and advance Bentley."

Conway, NH
- Advanced eventing rider, Colin Davidson of South Conway, NH, passed away on December 6, 2010, after sustaining serious injuries as a result of a one-vehicle accident in Charlottesville, VA, on December 5. Colin's truck struck a tree and rolled down an embankment near his apartment in Charlottesville. He was 29 years old.

Dressage

In Frankfort, Germany, the 2010 FEI World Cup Dressage Final for Young Riders will get underway December 15-19. Meagan Davis and Bentley will represent the United States. The pair had great success this year, winning the Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Young Rider Dressage Championship and sweeping the Young Rider divisions at the CDIs at Saugerties and Dressage at Devon.

Oklahoma City, OK - Just two years ago, Shawn Flarida became the National Reining Horse Association's first Three Million Dollar Rider with earnings accumulated at the 2008 NRHA Futurity. History repeated itself when the gates closed on the 2010 NRHA Futurity and the results were announced. With rides in the finals aboard Quistador and Shine Chic Shine, plus a tie for third in the $100,000 added NRHA World Championship Shootout on Wimpys Little Chic (owned by Arcese Quarter Horses USA), Flarida scooped up more than $100,000 to become NRHA's first Four Million Dollar Rider. Flarida's official NRHA earnings: $4,023,885.
