The final took place November 20 as part of the United Professional Horsemen's Association (UPHA) American Royal National Championship Horse Show in Kansas City, MO.

Shelburne, VT - Team Morgan 2010 is the proud Gold medal winner of this year's hunter seat equitation competition that took place at Stephens College in Columbia, MO, November 18-20. The team competed against the college's equitation team, and it was Team Morgan's first hunter seat competition.

These two recipients have shown a lifetime of dedication to USDF through volunteering and developing programs, projects and committees that have contributed to USDF's mission.

Buffalo, NY - After three days of competition where riders were judged not only on their mounted abilities but also on their horsemanship and horse care, Orchard Park, NY, native Kate Haley was atop the podium. This was the second annual USHJA Emerging Athletes Program National Training Session, presented by Dover Saddlery and hosted by BTRC. For her accomplishment, Haley, 18, will receive 30 days of advanced training from an approved trainer, $3,000 from Dover Saddlery to purchase show clothes and a place in the George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Clinic in Wellington, FL, in January 2011.

Oklahoma City, OK - Thanksgiving Day at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City signaled the start of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity & Adequan North American Affiliate Championship Show being held through December 4. The NRHA kicked off its first day of competition with the first go, first section of the $170,000 added NRHA Open Futurity featuring the world's most talented three-year-old reining horses and riders in five open divisions. Always Gotyer Gunsup and Two Million Dollar Rider Tim McQuay, Tioga, TX, jumped to the top of the leader board with a 222.5. The duo currently leads the NRHA Futurity Level 4 Open and the Prime Time divisions.

This event will take place January 19 - 23 at the Hyatt Regency Lexington and adjoining Lexington Center. The USEF has secured a group rate of $139 for single - quad occupancy, plus tax. At the Audi Masters CSI5*, CSI2* and CSI1* in Brussels, Belgium, several U.S. riders put in strong performances across four days of competition. In the CSI1*, Terri Anne Kessler was third in the 1.15m Prix Pommery with Ice D'Ancoeur and went one better in the 1.25m Prix Pommery with Swiss Franc. Daughter Reed Kessler was third in the CSI2* 1.45m Prix Sheraton with Mika. In the CSI5*, Laura Kraut won Saturday's grand prix with Cedric, McLain Ward and Antares F were third. The U.S. riders put in impressive efforts in the grand prix on Sunday, Terri Anne was second in the CSI1* 1.15m Horse Land Grand Prix with Ice D'Ancoeur, Reed was third in the CSI2* Lufthansa Private Jet Grand Prix with Mika and Kraut and Cedric were fourth in the CSI5* Audi Grand Prix. |
