U.S. Storms to Nations Cup Win at CSIO Buenos Aires
Lexington, KY - Four U.S. show jumping riders traveled to CSIO Buenos Aires in Argentina, and their trip proved worth the miles when they scored a big win in the Nations Cup. Led by the four-fault efforts of Young Rider Lucy Davis (Los Angeles, CA) and John McConnell (Lemitar, NM), the U.S. Team put in an impressive effort to jump to the win on 24 faults over the Canadians who finished on 37. The home nation was third on a score of 43.

Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation is pleased to announce that Lexington, KY will play host to the 2011 Annual Meeting. This event will take place January 19 - 23 at the Hyatt Regency Lexington and adjoining Lexington Center. The USEF has secured a group rate of $139 for single - quad occupancy, plus tax. For reservations, please call (800) 233-1234 or (859) 253-1234 and ask for the "USEF Annual Meeting Rate." The deadline to take advantage of this special rate is Wednesday, December 22, 2010.

You Can Win a Morgan Horse |

Shelburne, VT - Have you always dreamed of owning your own Morgan horse? Now you can thanks to the American Morgan Horse Association, Team Morgan and Copper Beech, LLC! The 2010 AMHA/Team Morgan's Win a Morgan Horse Contest is underway and one lucky person will be the winner!
The contest is open to any youth, age 21 and under, who is interested in owning a Morgan horse. The applicant will complete an application, essay, DVD and include two letters of reference and submit the package to AMHA by Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 5 p.m. EST. The entry fee is $50.
This year's contest horse is a coming two-year-old chestnut mare named CBMF Stolen Kisses. "Latte" is by GLB Bell Pepper and out of Chocolate Kisses, who is a full sister to world champion Continental Vision. In August, she won the Yearling Filly class at the Massachusetts Morgan Horse Show.

At the 88th Royal Horse Show in Toronto, Ontario, Brianne Goutal won a five-way, five nation jump-off, besting top riders from the U.S., Canada, Ireland, The Netherlands and Great Britain to claim the $100,000 FEI World Cup Grand Prix. Riding the young mare, Ballade Van Het Indihoff, Goutal led the field of 25 starters over the Anthony D'Ambrosio-designed course and was last to go in the jump-off. Goutal blazed over the shortened course in 36.66 seconds, more than a full second faster than second-place finisher, Harrie Smolders (NED); Robert Whitaker (GBR) was third.

Renew for 2011
The 2011 USEF Competition year is approaching quickly. Renew your membership now. It is so easy when you log into your MY USEF Account and click on "2011 USEF Membership Application" under 2011 Competition Year. The annual USEF Competing Equestrian membership costs only $55.
