Excitement Reigns at 39th U.S. National Arabian and Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show

The 39th Annual U.S. National Arabian and Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show (U.S. Nationals) is underway with exciting competition in Albuquerque, NM. The 10-day show, held October 20-29, is the flagship event for the Arabian horse industry, featuring top-quality horses, a shopping expo and the annual Arabian Horse Judging Contest at Expo New Mexico.

Williams and Sweepea Dean Win 2005 USEF National One-Star Eventing Championship East Coast

The MidSouth Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park played host to four championships October 20-23. Mother Nature made the weekend cold and damp, but that didn’t stop 80 riders from competing in the CCI* with steeplechase, the 2005 USEF National One-Star Eventing Championship East Coast.

USEF Announces Athletes Named to 2006 Eventing Winter Training List

Twenty-nine horse and rider combinations have been named to the United States Equestrian Federation 2006 Eventing Winter Training List for the period of January 15, 2006 through March 26, 2006.

ASHA Northeastern Regional Champions Named at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show

The first American Saddlebred Horse Association (ASHA) regional champions were named from the Northeastern regions made up of USEF Regions 11 and 12 at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA, October 19-October 22.

Washington International Horse Show Crowns New Champions in 2005

The 2005 Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) serves as one of the country’s most prestigious and competitive indoor equestrian events, with prominent riders, Olympic veterans, and superstar equines competing for top honors and fabulous prize money. Located at the MCI Center in downtown Washington DC, the show began on October 25 with a full schedule of hunter competition.

Georgina Bloomberg and Action Win Amateur Owner Jumper Classic at Harrisburg; Bloomberg Named Best Amateur Owner Jumper Rider

Georgina Bloomberg, one of the nation’s hottest young equestrian stars, was the winner of the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Amateur Owner Jumper Classic presented by the American Grand Prix Association, which was held Friday afternoon October 21. She and Action, owned by Gotham Enterprizes, Inc., were also named Amateur Owner Jumper Champions at this year’s Pennsylvania National Horse Show. The show, one of the key stops on the "fall equestrian tour," is held at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

Momentum at Florida Horse Park is Increasing; Debut Events Next Week

“To say the momentum at ‘The Park’ is increasing would be an understatement,” said Tom Warriner, chairman of the Florida Agricultural Center and Horse Park Authority. This point was made apparent at the the Florida Horse Park's official ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 3, which had about 150 attendees—including Florida’s Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Service Charles H. Bronson and U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson—despite the blankets of rain that intermittently passed through, causing everyone to run for cover.
