Seidemann Scores a Silver in 2004 Paralympic Competition
Two-time Paralympic equestrian and current World Champion Lynn Seidemann is all smiles atop her trusted Phoenix B after a ride to the medal's podium. The pair pulled out all the stops to wow the judges with a spectacular Silver medal-winning performance in Grade I Individual Freestyle dressage. With a final score of 76.063%, this is the first medal for the U.S. Paralympic Equestrian Team in Athens.

Going in Sixth, U.S. Team Jumps to Finish Fourth in Their First Year of Super League Competition
It was not a competition for the faint of heart, as seasoned teams sought to outscore their rivals in a close competition. But when all was said and done, U.S. show jumpers Peter Wylde, Chris Kappler, Norman Dello Joio and Judith Garofalo pulled off a solid fourth place finish in Barcelona with only 24 faults.

Two Weekends Complete, One to Go for ASPCA Maclay Regional Qualifying
The field of top junior riders continues to be narrowed down for the 2004 ASPCA Maclay National Finals as two additional regional finals were completed on Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19. The final three regions will be contested this coming weekend, September 25-26.
The finals will be held November 3-7, 2004, at The Metropolitan National Horse Show at Pier 94 and the Show Piers on the Hudson Complex in New York City.

PFHA Grand National Championship Show Currently Underway
Day two of the Paso Fino Horse Association Grand National Championship show was another fun-filled day of extremely full classes and lots of fun, plus entertainment. Near record entries had many classes running two or even three sections before bringing back the best in each section to choose the best of the group.

2004 Convention to Mark AAEP's 50th Anniversary
Veterinarians from around the globe will convene December 4-8 in Denver, CO, to celebrate the American Association of Equine Practitioners’ (AAEP) 50th anniversary at the AAEP 50th Annual Convention. As the world’s largest continuing education meeting devoted to equine veterinary medicine, the convention will offer scientific sessions, professional development seminars and hands-on workshops for veterinarians, veterinary students and technicians. The comprehensive scientific program will include topics such as dentistry, sports medicine, surgery and lameness.

Week in Review Competition Results for September 2004
The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (USEF), as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 20 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
