Ali Judah Triumphs at 2010 USEF Saddle Seat Adult Amateur Medal Final |

Photo by Howard Schatzberg  | Lexington, KY - Although heavy rains delayed the start of the 2010 USEF Saddle Seat Adult Amateur Medal Final on Friday, July 9, an arena of nine qualified riders showed up with all heart, making for a great display of competitive ability within the adult amateur equitation field. The Medal Final was one of the highlights of the 74th Annual Lexington Junior League Charity Horse Show, hosted at the historic Red Mile Race Track in Lexington, KY.
In the end, Ali Judah of Louisville, KY, earned the title of Champion. Judah was coached to the win by Sarah and Rob Byers, who took home the "trainer's trophy." As champion, Judah was honored with a beautiful cast resin sculpture created by artist Patricia Crane, a Freedman Harness handcrafted USEF leather cabin bag, the traditional USEF Gold medal and a bouquet of roses. Oklahoma City, OK - The 2010 Adequan/USEF Open Reining Championships, which also served as the USEF Selection Trial for the Adequan U.S. Reining Team for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, featured fierce competition with a national title and a ticket to the World Equestrian Games on the line.
The Oklahoma State Fairgrounds main coliseum was rocking on Saturday night and when the dust settled Shawn Flarida held on to his lead and had the best two round total to take top honors.

On August 21-22, 2010, competitors from across the Northwest United States and Western Canada will gather at the Trac Center in Pasco, WA, to participate in the Festival of the Andalusian, an annual horse show that rotates through different locations in the Pacific Northwest to encourage broad participation.

U.S. Eventing Continues Support of the 2010 Adequan FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North | Lexington, KY - The United States Eventing Association (USEA) will maintain its generous support of the Junior and Young Rider program as the returning Title Sponsor of the Eventing Championships at the 2010 Adequan FEI North American Junior/Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North.
These championships will feature top eventers ages 14-21 in a CCI* for Juniors and a CCI** for Young Riders. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams, as well as individuals. Many of the country's best senior riders came up through the Young Rider program: Buck Davidson, Sara Kozumplik Dierks, Will Coleman, Will Faudree and Clark Montgomery are just a few of the medalists from NAJYRC that are currently competing at the highest level of the sport.

USEF Updates 2010 Eventing Developing Rider List | |
Lexington, KY - The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Eventing High Performance program has made the following updates to the 2010 Developing Rider List. Developing Riders will be invited to audit training sessions of the 2010 WEG Short List. Developing Riders who have already completed a CCI3* with a qualifying score will be eligible to receive a grant for the European Developing Rider Tour to Boekelo CCI3* in the Netherlands.

This Week in International Disciplines | Dressage
In the CDI3* which took place in scenic Vierzon, France, Katherine Bateson-Chandler and Nartan scored a 67.574% for a second-place finish in the Grand Prix. Kenneth Dyrby finished fourth with Rholex and seventh with Nanette. In the Grand Prix Special, Bateson-Chandler was fourth and Dyrby was fifth with Rholex. Dyrby rode Nanette in the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle and was second.

Lexington, KY - The popular show MythBusters tests the validity of urban legends and myths and now we're going to do the same. We are going to challenge some of the biggest rumors and myths about the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. (Note: the following are actual myths).
Myth One: Ticket prices are outrageous! Tickets to the 2010 Games start as low as $25 for a grounds pass. Competition tickets also start at $25. Tickets for eventing cross-country, driving marathon and endurance are only $45. The average ticket price for the Games is $85 and the most expensive ticket is $150, for the Opening Ceremonies!

The 2010 USEF Competition year has begun (as of December 1, 2009). Renew your membership now.
