2005 Annual Meeting:

Saturday proved to be the busiest day of the 2005 Annual Meeting in Louisville, KY, at the downtown Seelbach Hotel. With a combination of committee meetings, working groups and the anticipated Horse of the Year Awards, attendees from across the country made their collective way through the day of work.

Emma Drinker (right) of Saratoga, CA, was named the USEF/American Vaulting Association’s Vaulting Coach of the Year. USEF Awards Director Kristyn Kay and President David O’Connor made the presentation.


USHJA President Bill Moroney and recipient of the Oaks Trophy for the year’s champion Small Pony Hunter Emma Lee Roberts of Houston, TX.


Alycia Josephs of Somonauk, IL, took home the Ganador Trophy for Grand Champion Purebred Andalusian/Lusitano, Estrella de la Manana.


Grand Champion Regular Hunter honors for 2004 went to Jane Fraze of Tucson, AZ.



The champion and recipient of the Clifden Trophy for the Connemara Pony Hunter in 2004 was Hideaway’s Greystone Shillelagh. Accepting the award is Meghan Kaupp of Pittsford, NY. USEF Treasurer Kathy Meyer is presenting the honors.


Myra E. Daniels of Chapel Hill, NC, took champion honors in the Half-Anglo Arabian Specialty division. Kathy Meyer and Myron Kraus (newly-elected President of the Arabian Horse Association) present the award to Charlotte Carter who accepted it on behalf of Ms. Daniel.



Chris Elliott (left) accepts the Arabian Dressage Champion honors and the Cynthia Perlick-Flewlling Perpetual Trophy. Kathy Meyer and Myron Kraus presented the award. Ms. Elliott accepted the honors for Christine Ann Hoffman of Alpharetta, GA.



Awards Director Kristyn Kay and USEF Vice President for High Performance Armand Leone, Jr. present the Scripp’s Miramar Ranch Trophy for Show Pleasure Five-Gaited to Guy R. Warner of Mound, MN, and his Saddlebred Forever Aptor.


The Western Pleasure Open award for 2004 went to Anne Wyatt of Princeton, NJ, and her horse Totts. Bill Hughes, outgoing President of the Arabian Horse Association, presents the honors.


The Risin’ Tide Perpetual Trophy and champion title in the Hackney Pony Pleasure Driving class went to Ali and owner Gwen E. Stableford of Summit, NJ. Dr. Sam Barish of the United States Dressage Federation presents.


Whispering on the Rocks and owner Kelli-Ann Monroe of East Swanzey, NH, were named champions in the Morgan Road Hack division. USEF CEO John Long presents the honors.

The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (USEF), as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting, as well as 20 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation has over 80,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate at these shows.
