4,000-Plus E-mails of Support Sent to Barbaro and Michael Matz at USEF
Less than one week after Barbaro's tragic career-ending injury in the Preakness, over 4,000 people have already e-mailed Matz, owners Roy and Gretchen Jackson and Barbaro their well-wishes. Just hours after Barbaro emerged from surgery, the USEF set up a means for people to send their regards.
You can send your message to Barbaro, trainer Michael Matz, a three-time Olympic equestrian who won Silver at the 1996 Atlanta Games, and owners, Roy and Gretchen Jackson, by emailing matzbarbaro@usef.org. The USEF is compiling these messages and sending them on to Barbaro and his connections as they continue to come in.
Samsung Super League Aachen: Germans Do It on The Double...USA Stands at Second

The USA however was hot on German heels once more when finishing second, and this summer's Samsung Super League with FEI series looks set to turn into a real tussle between these two sides.

Fargis, along with six other riders, posted first round clears over Richard Jeffery’s Sunday course in the Johnson Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park. Last to go in the jump-off, Fargis and his faithful partner, Edgar 12, a 17-year-old Hanoverian gelding, proved to be the fastest. The best that day, Fargis was only 2/10ths of a second faster than the second place finisher, Aaron Vale riding Millstream, Inc.’s Artur 28. Placing third after Vale, Pablo Barrios of Venezuela rode Sun God to a double clear round in the time of 38.64. Kelley Small of Canada riding Calibur, owned by Cimmaron Farms, finished fourth and was followed by Stealaway Farm’s Claus ridden by Angela Moore.
