USEF Names Nations Cup Team for CSIO Wellington

CSIO Wellington WIR 3-4-11Wellington, FL - Horse/rider combinations have been named by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) to represent the U.S. in America's only Nations Cup which will be held in Wellington, FL, on March 4, as part of CSIO Wellington. The Palm Beach International Equestrian Club's International Arena will host some of the best horse/rider combinations from across the globe as they vie for top honors in the $75,000 FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm.

Law and O'Connor Named to 2013 Eventing Chef d'Equipe/Technical Advisor Short List

Lexington, KY - Leslie Law and David O'Connor have been named to the 2013 Eventing Chef d'Equipe/Technical Advisor Short List. The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) received nine applications from six different nations. The Search Committee interviewed six applicants over the last two weeks. The applicant group is extremely qualified with more than 30 Olympic, Pan American, European Championship and World Equestrian Games medals among them.

Wellington, FL - Competition at the seventh week of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) has concluded at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, and another week of fantastic competition was held. The FTI WEF hosts the best that the sports of show jumping, hunters and equitation have to offer in 12 rings of competition. Saturday night featured an exciting victory for McLain Ward (USA) and Pjotter Van De Zonnehoeve in the $78,000 Fidelity Investments® CSI 2* Grand Prix.

ACVIM, professor and chair of the department of large animal clinical sciences at Michigan State University, and Nicholas Frank, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, associate professor of large animal clinical sciences at the University of Tennessee, to investigate the occurrence and genetics of equine metabolic syndrome (EMS). Bob Coleman, PhD, PAS, associate director for undergraduate education in equine science and management and extension horse specialist at the University of Kentucky also is involved in the study.
