By Marnye Langer
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Langer Equestrian Group has added a third show week to its highly popular High Prairie Spring Series at the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, CO.
“We realized that the Colorado hunter/jumper community would really like another ‘A’ rated show during the first part of the season,” said Charlotte Skinner, manager of the High Prairie Spring Series for Langer Equestrian Group. “It’s a great facility and a great group of competitors. We have some really fun and exciting things planned that we hope all will enjoy.”
For those in the jumper division, prize money has been increased and a mini-prix will be held every week. The Junior/Young Rider/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic is a member event of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior-Amateur Series and will serve as an official Zone 8 Young Rider Selection Trial. Even the low childrens/adult jumpers have something to celebrate with a classic each week.
Hunters have plenty to choose from also. Classes range from rusty and short stirrup all the way up to regular hunters, with many of the rated sections featuring a handy hunter class. A Marshall and Sterling Childrens/Adult Amateur Hunter Classic will be held each week as well. Those interested in equitation can ride in a variety of classes, including several prestigious medals.
And don’t forget Langer Equestrian Group’s annual Trainer Incentive program. Launching May 7, 2009, the competition for the trip to Maui is sure to be fierce. For more information and the point standings during the season, please visit
