Information for the 2013 Young Adult 'Brentina Cup' Championships
-
The 2013 U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions presented by Dutta Corp will be held October 8-12, 2013 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.
-
The Young Adult "Brentina Cup" program is named after the legendary U.S. dressage mare and is graciously
supported by her owners Parry and Peggy Thomas. The Brentina Cup program was developed to assist and
encourage U.S. Young Riders in making the transition to Senior Grand Prix competitor. Riders between
the ages of 16 and 25 are eligible to participate and compete in the National Brentina Cup Championships.
-
Qualifying period for the 2013 National Championships begins August 1, 2012 and is proposed to end
August 30, 2013.
-
New for 2013: The
USEF Young Adult "Brentina Cup" Test (current edition) must be used for qualification in national
USEF/NAJYRC Qualifying Competitions. Only one score will count from each qualifying competition
for the national ranking list. In addition to the three required qualifying scores, at least one
score must be earned in the FEI Young Rider Grand Prix 16-25 Test. This will be verified by the USEF
Dressage Department through the USDF Score Check and this score will not be counted for the ranking
list or your overall average unless submitted as a CDI score. NOTE: the FEI Young Rider Grand Prix
16-25 Test score may be earned at the same national competition where a qualifying score in the USEF
Young Adult 'Brentina Cup' Test is earned and may also be earned in an FEI Test of Choice class.
