2007 USEF DRESSAGE TEST GUIDELINES
These guidelines must be read prior to accessing USEF dressage score sheets. Revised 1/25/07.
The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc.® Dressage Tests for Training through Fourth Levels
are now available. These new editions become effective with the beginning of the 2007
USEF competition year (December 1, 2006) and will remain in use for the next four (4) years
(until November 30, 2010).
-
As a continuing service to USEF members, movements for these dressage tests are now posted on
the dressage page of the Federation website www.usef.org .
Also available is the new edition of the popular USEF Dressage Test Booklet .
This convenient pocket-size booklet, which contains all movements, directives, and test
information for Training through Fourth Level, can be ordered from USEF for a cover price of
only $5 each (plus shipping). For the first time, this booklet also includes the USDF Intro
and Freestyle Tests, thereby being a complete national dressage test reference. Order forms
are available on www.usef.org .
-
USEF will no longer print and sell individual dressage test score sheets.
As a new feature for members, officials and competitions, complete USEF score sheets
are posted for free download via their "Authorized User" Accounts (AUA) on
www.usef.org (for more information regarding Authorized
User Accounts, please visit the Federation website). Anyone, whether a USEF
member or not, may sign up for free AUA access.
-
FEI tests are available via
www.horsesport.org . USDF score sheets, including
Intro, Freestyles (First – Fourth Level), Quadrille, Pas de Deux, etc. are available from
the USDF office www.usdf.org .
-
Please keep in mind these score sheets are intended for competition use only. Most USEF
members looking for tests for personal use will find the USEF Dressage Test Booklet as being
the most convenient source for this information as it contains ALL information (including
directives) from the score sheets.
-
USEF dressage test score sheets must be printed double-sided on legal-size
(8.5" x 14") paper . Designated colors are as follows, in pastel
shades:
- Training Level = light pink
- First Level = light blue
- Second Level = light yellow
- Third Level = lavender
- Fourth Level = light green
***It has come to USEF's attention that several paper suppliers have discontinued their
pastel-colored paper in legal size. Therefore, these colors are designated as a
recommendation for your competition. White paper may be used if appropriate
colors can not be obtained through any purchasing source.***
-
The USEF "per ride fee" payable on Post Competition Reports for all USEF tests ridden at
2007 Licensed Competitions will be $.35 per ride.
-
There are no fees or special permission required for "schooling shows" to use these score
sheets – this is a complimentary service by USEF to support the "grass roots" of the sport.
-
Score sheets may not be modified in any way and must be printed and copied for competition use
as outlined above. Failure to comply may subject competitions to any and all applicable USEF
penalties. Technical Delegates must report lack of compliance with this policy on USEF TD
Reports.
-
If you experience difficulty downloading the actual score sheets, please do NOT
contact the USEF office as unfortunately we are unable to assist with members' personal
computers. Please check for the most current version of Adobe, and confirm your printer
settings for legal-size paper. Otherwise, please contact your local IT professional for further
assistance.
-
Competition officials may find it most convenient to visit your local copy store
for assistance with the score sheets. By accessing the tests through your
established AUA account, copy stores should be able to directly download the tests and print
them on appropriate paper in one easy step. Please note copy stores ARE allowed to
access, download, and print USEF-licensed score sheets in this manner for dressage competition
use under USEF's copyright agreement.
-
Organizations interested in reproduction or printing of these tests for commercial
use only (this does NOT apply to competitions) should contact Scott Carling,
Assistant Executive Director of Marketing, (859) 225-6928 or
scarling@usef.org for a commercial contractual
agreement.
