Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010
USEF Member Advance Ticket Deposit Offer
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Should you participate in this advance deposit program, your ticket deposit payment
transaction will be made directly online to the World Games 2010 Foundation, the
entity organizing the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010, and it will be processed
through their ticket agent Ticketmaster.
The only role the USEF has is the ability
to offer this opportunity to our members. Any questions or communications should
be directed to the World Games 2010 Foundation.
About Your Deposit
Who qualifies as a USEF member?
Anyone who is a current 2007 or a new 2008 USEF member on October 15th 2007 in any
membership category qualifies to participate in this ticket offer. YOU MUST HAVE
A CURRENT EMAIL ON FILE WITH US BY OCTOBER 15TH. If you are currently a USEF member
you should make sure you have a correct and valid e-mail address on file. You can
change it online on the USEF website when you “Sign In” on the lower right corner
of the
homepage using your member Authorized User
Account. Or, you can update it when you renew your 2008 membership or join as a
new member online by October 15th. To become a USEF member, or to renew your membership
online, go to
www.usef.org and click on the “Join
or Renew” tab in the upper right hand corner of the homepage. Any membership forms
or renewals sent to us by regular mail are not guaranteed to be processed in time
for this email only ticket offer.
When will the offer be available and where online do I make my purchase?
The ticket deposit offer will only be made by e-mail to USEF members on November
1st and will only be available on-line.
No orders can be taken by phone or mail.
The e-mail will include a link to a special area on the
feigames2010.org website and details on how to order the tickets. There are
a very limited number of tickets in each discipline available and the ticket offer
will end when the USEF allotment sells out or on November 15th, whichever comes
first. This is an exclusive first come, first served opportunity for USEF members.
The online ticket deposit orders will be made on the
feigames2010.org website and the transaction will be handled by Ticketmaster,
the official ticket agency for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2010. Only
credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) transactions will be accepted.
Does my deposit guarantee that I will get tickets, assuming I pay the balance when
it comes due?
Yes; if you make a deposit as required under this program, you will get tickets
for each of the events in the discipline(s) you selected. The World Games Foundation
has reserved a pre-determined number of Series Tickets for each discipline championship.
Those tickets are available based on first-come, first-served basis. If you make
a deposit during the allotted time period and before the maximum number of Series
Tickets reserved for your program have been sold, and you pay the balance when it
is due, you are ensured those tickets for the Games.
What are Series Tickets?
A Series Ticket is one ticket for each scheduled event in a particular discipline.
If there are 5 events scheduled for a particular discipline, a “Series Ticket” would
provide a ticket for each such event.
Is the deposit refundable?
No; the deposit is not refundable. Under some circumstances, you may be able to
apply the deposit to other tickets, but it is not refundable.
I do not want to order tickets for all events in a particular discipline. Can
I just purchase individual tickets at this time?
No; only full Series Tickets and tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies
are available under this program. This deposit program gives you an exceptional
and priority opportunity to reserve tickets for every session of a particular discipline.
Some disciplines are unavailable for deposits in this program. Why?
The World Games 2010 Foundation has set aside a number of Series Tickets for each
discipline, intended to reach the maximum number of potential buyers possible, while
maintaining reasonable ticket availability for later general public sales. If tickets
are unavailable for deposit when you apply, it is because the number of Series Tickets
reserved for your organization may have already reached its maximum for this deposit
period. This is why we remind you to act promptly if you want to participate in
this program.
The software would not let me order more than 6 Series Tickets for a particular
discipline. I would like more. What should I do?
The World Games Foundation, Inc. is offering a pre-set number of Series Tickets
to reach the maximum number of interested purchasers possible, while also retaining
some tickets for open sales at a later date. To do this, we need to place a reasonable
limit on tickets reserved by any one purchaser.
I understand there may be a General Admission ticket, which will allow entry
into the Kentucky Horse Park during the 2010 Games. Do my tickets under this program
include the General Admission price?
Yes; in addition to the competitive events you attend, each of your Series Tickets
includes access to all general admissions activities in the Park during those same
days, including the international trade show and any breed and discipline demonstrations
that may be occurring on those days.
How long is the USEF deposit program open to me?
From November 1st through November 15th or until the USEF ticket allotment is sold
out, whichever comes first.
I would like to purchase the full Series Tickets but probably will not be able
to attend all of the sessions. Will there be a ticket re-sale program where I can
try to sell any such tickets?
There is no formal program in place currently, but some form of a ticket re-sale
program is likely to develop.
Communications about Your Account
When payment is due for my balance, will I get an invoice, will I pay on line
or will you bill my credit card automatically without prior notification?
When your balance is due, Ticketmaster will notify you to return to your Ticketmaster account
and you will have a comfortable length of time to complete your transaction before
general ticket sales open to the public. You will be contacted to pay for and select
the category of tickets you wish to purchase. You will be able to pay the remaining
balance by credit card online, just as you paid the initial deposit. It is critical
to keep an accurate Ticketmaster account with current contact information, including
your physical address, email and phone number. Those who do not pay the balance
due within the allotted amount of time still have the opportunity to complete their
purchase but will lose their priority status.
How often will you communicate with me? How?
You will receive periodic information about the Games themselves and other stages
in this program by email, newsletter, and other forms of communication. Ticketmaster
will
formally contact you by email to complete your purchase, prior to beginning the
public ticket sales of remaining tickets.
If I move, change phone numbers or get a new e-mail address should I notify
WEG?
Yes; it is extremely important to keep accurate contact information on your Ticketmaster
account, so that Ticketmaster may notify you when your balance is due, as well as keep you
connected to the Games with our e-newsletter, news releases, and other important
or interesting information that you will want to know about as we approach 2010.
Please log in to your Ticketmaster Account if any of your contact information changes
and update your account for our records.
About Your Payment
When will I have to make my balance due payment?
You will be notified by email in 2009 when your balance is due. It is critical that
you keep an accurate Ticketmaster account with updated contact information to ensure
that you receive notification of the balance due in a timely fashion, so that you
may pay the balance during the time allotted.
I don’t have a credit card. Can I pay by check?
No; at this point in time Ticketmaster is only taking online orders with credit card payments.
What credit cards do you accept?
Ticket deposits can be made with American Express, Visa, and MasterCard.
Will there be ticket service charges?
Yes; traditional and competitive service charges will be included during the final
ticket purchase period
In order to calculate approximately how much my remaining balance will be, what
percentage does my deposit represent?
Your deposit amount represents approximately half of the estimated total ticket
cost for the top tier of tickets in each discipline, before any traditional service
charges.
Seating. Schedule, and Travel
When will I know my specific seat location?
Final physical seat locations will not be precisely determined until 2010, after
completion of the final venue layouts. However, when you complete your order in
2009, you WILL know the general area your tickets will be located in.
Is there a Children’s Price?
No; there is not a child’s price for the Series Tickets.
I need ADA seating. What do I do?
There is a space for you to signify ADA seating needs when you place your ticket
deposit order on your “Account Manager” page. This designation is located on the
purchase of deposit page.
When will I know what the daily competition schedule is going to be?
When you order your tickets on the feigames2010.org website the tentative schedule
will be posted there.
Is the schedule finalized? What happens if it changes?
No; the schedule has not been finalized and confirmed by the FEI at this point,
although few additional changes are anticipated. If the schedule changes in any
meaningful way, you will be contacted to discuss options. This is not expected.
I am interested in finding a hotel in the area. What do I do?
