USEF, USDF and USHJA Announce New Affiliates Verification Service; Online Service Provides Owner, Rider and Horse Data for Both USEF and Affiliate on One Document
It’s fast, easy to use, and saves you the hassle of fumbling with multiple sets of membership cards from both the USEF, and USDF or USHJA to enter a competition.
The USEF Affiliate Verification Service is now operational and can be accessed through the USEF website, www.usef.org; the USDF website, www.usdf.org and the USHJA website, www.ushja.org, or at www.eqverification.org. The service allows you to search and then print your owner and rider USEF membership data, and horse I.D data, on the same sheet of paper with the corresponding USDF or USHJA information. Black Selle Francais Stallion Venus Du Vey Stolen; $1,000 Reward Offered
Thieves must have known exactly what they were after when they crept into a Canton, GA, pasture Saturday night, Sept. 30, 2006, and made off with one of its occupants, a stallion called Venus Du Vey. Owner Anne Dupard said she feels like the world fell out from beneath her. Across the ocean in France, Anne was devastated when she received a call this past weekend informing her that her 17.3-hand black stallion was gone.
Not once when Venus was turned out in a pasture Saturday evening did anyone expect to find him gone the next day. Theft was the only logical thought when the stallion was discovered missing since all the other horses were still secure in the pasture with the gate shut.

Unique Three-Breed Show, Morab Nationals, to be Held at Kentucky Horse Park
Famed publisher William Randolph Hearst, who also established an important horse breeding operation, is credited with having first coined the name “Morab” for the distinct breed of horses that are Arabian and Morgan crosses. He bred his Arabian stallions to Morgan mares to produce horses which were sure-footed, fast and versatile. Consequently, they were well suited to the rough and varied terrain of his San Simeon ranch near the Pacific Coast of California. More than six generations later, the Morabs, some of which trace their ancestry to Hearst’s superior breeding program, will visit the Kentucky Horse Park for the Seventh Annual Morab Nationals.
